Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kylo-03 is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Kylonova for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia and related dyslipidemias. The drug utilizes Kylonova's proprietary Nano-lipid Particles Delivery Platform (NPDP) to deliver siRNA specifically to hepatocytes in the liver. Once inside the cells, Kylo-03 targets and degrades the mRNA encoding Angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3), a key regulator of lipid metabolism that inhibits lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and endothelial lipase (EL). By silencing the expression of ANGPTL3, Kylo-03 aims to enhance the clearance of triglycerides and lower serum levels of LDL cholesterol and other lipids. It is currently in the pre-clinical or IND-enabling stage of development.
