KYS202002A is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD38, developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical. CD38 is a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed on plasma cells and certain other immune cells, playing a key role in the production of autoantibodies and the regulation of immune responses. By binding to CD38, KYS202002A induces the depletion of pathogenic plasma cells through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). The drug is primarily being investigated for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
