Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kyungohkgo (also known as Gyeongok-go) is a traditional Korean herbal formula (Hanbang) that has been used for centuries as a restorative tonic to promote longevity and treat symptoms of physical exhaustion. The formula is a standardized combination of four primary ingredients: the juice of *Rehmannia glutinosa*, the powder of *Panax ginseng* and *Poria cocos*, and Honey. Pharmacologically, Kyungohkgo has been shown to exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. In the context of allergic diseases like atopic dermatitis, it functions by suppressing the infiltration of mast cells into the skin and significantly downregulating serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels. It is commercially available in South Korea as an over-the-counter (OTC) product, primarily manufactured by Kwangdong Pharmaceutical, and is indicated for fatigue, recovery from illness, and general health maintenance.
