Drug intelligence / Profile preview
L-2264 is a novel triazolopyrimidine derivative and antioxidant developed by the V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Chemically identified as 3-(4-bromophenyl)-N-(2H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-3-(2H-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylamino)propanamide, L-2264 exhibits potent antioxidant, antiatherogenic, and hypotensive properties. In preclinical models of diabetes and fructose-induced insulin resistance, oral administration of L-2264 has been shown to significantly ameliorate metabolic disturbances, including glucose intolerance, hyperinsulinemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and lipid peroxidation, while improving the overall lipid profile and increasing insulin sensitivity.
