Overview

L-655 is a DP1-specific antagonist that has been studied in experimental murine models of atherosclerosis. In these studies, L-655 generally had a neutral to beneficial effect on aortic lipids, both with and without nicotinic acid treatment. It did not negate the beneficial effects of nicotinic acid, which is used to treat dyslipidemia. The drug targets the DP1 receptor, which is involved in the flushing response mediated by prostaglandin D2.
