Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of three medications that work together to augment the endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) pathway. The combination has been studied for its potential benefits in improving cerebral blood flow and cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment. Simvastatin is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that can upregulate eNOS. L-arginine is an amino acid that serves as a substrate for nitric oxide production. Tetrahydrobiopterin is a cofactor for eNOS that helps maintain proper enzyme function. Together, these medications support endothelial health and may improve vascular function in the brain.[1][4]
