Overview
L-Biokompleks (also known as L-Biocomplex) is a liposomal dietary supplement developed and manufactured by Farmstandart-Biolik in Ukraine. It is a combination product consisting of two separate liposomal solutions: L-carnitine tartrate and thioctic acid (alpha-lipoic acid). L-Biokompleks is designed to support cellular energy metabolism, cardiovascular health, and liver function. L-carnitine facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for beta-oxidation, while thioctic acid acts as a potent antioxidant and an essential cofactor for mitochondrial multienzyme complexes such as pyruvate dehydrogenase. The supplement is used as an adjunct therapy for chronic heart failure, metabolic syndrome, chronic hepatitis, hepatic cirrhosis, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, and stroke.
