Overview

L-DEP + PD-1 antibody is a combination regimen used as an induction therapy, particularly studied for Epstein-Barr virus-positive lymphomas such as lymphohistiocytosis. The L-DEP regimen consists of PEG-asparaginase, liposomal doxorubicin, etoposide, and methylprednisolone. This multi-agent chemotherapy is combined with a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibody (such as pembrolizumab or nivolumab), which acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. The rationale behind this combination is to leverage the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapy alongside the immunomodulatory action of PD-1 blockade, aiming to enhance antitumor immune responses and improve clinical outcomes[1][3]. The specific PD-1 antibody used may vary depending on trial design.
