L-Mesitran

L-Mesitran is a medical-grade honey (MGH) based wound care product line. It contains 40% medical grade honey supplemented with other ingredients such as vitamins C and E, lanolin, PEG4000, and propylene glycol to enhance its antimicrobial and wound healing properties. The product works through multiple mechanisms including osmotic activity, low pH, release of hydrogen peroxide, and the presence of antimicrobial molecules. When applied to wounds, it draws fluid from surrounding tissues through osmosis, creating a moist wound healing environment that stimulates the healing process, aids in wound bed preparation, facilitates autolysis of necrotic material, and promotes epithelial cell migration.
