Drug intelligence / Profile preview
L-selectin-engineered T cells are T cells genetically modified to constitutively express L-selectin (CD62L) or a cleavage-resistant mutant variant of L-selectin (such as LΔP-selectin). L-selectin is a cell adhesion molecule and homing receptor that mediates the tethering and rolling of lymphocytes on high endothelial venules, facilitating their entry into secondary lymphoid organs like lymph nodes. By overexpressing L-selectin, these engineered T cells exhibit enhanced homing to lymph nodes and improved infiltration, activation, and retention within solid tumors, thereby boosting systemic anti-tumor immunity.
