L-tyrosine-adsorbed hymenoptera venom immunotherapy is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by ANALLERGO S.p.A. for the treatment of Hymenoptera venom allergies. The product contains standardized venom extracts from honeybees (Apis mellifera), common wasps (Vespula spp.), European hornets (Vespa crabro), and paper wasps (Polistes spp.). These allergens are adsorbed onto L-tyrosine, which acts as a depot adjuvant to provide a slow-release mechanism. This formulation is designed to improve local tolerability at the injection site while maintaining the clinical immunogenicity required to induce immune tolerance. The therapy is administered via subcutaneous injection under medical supervision, typically following clustered or rush build-up protocols, and has demonstrated high efficacy in preventing systemic allergic reactions upon re-sting.
