L1-E7 polypeptide is a recombinant fusion protein designed as a therapeutic and prophylactic vaccine candidate for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection and associated malignancies, such as cervical cancer. The construct is a multiepitope fusion of the HPV L1 capsid protein and the E7 oncoprotein, intended to elicit both humoral and cellular immune responses. In preclinical research, the polypeptide has been evaluated in combination with exosome-based delivery systems (such as HEK-293T cell-derived exosomes loaded with crocin or curcumin) to enhance Th1-directed immunity and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) activity. This approach aims to provide a potent and potentially low-cost immunotherapeutic regimen for eradicating HPV-associated tumor cells.
