Overview

Lacnotuzumab is a humanized IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody that targets macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF or CSF1). By binding to and neutralizing CSF1, it inhibits the activation and recruitment of tumor-associated macrophages, which are implicated in tumor growth and immune evasion. Lacnotuzumab was developed primarily for oncology indications including advanced solid tumors such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS), giant cell tumor of tendon sheath (TGCT), prostate cancer, gastric cancer, malignant melanoma, bone metastases, and others. It has been studied both as monotherapy and in combination with other agents such as spartalizumab or chemotherapy. The drug was administered intravenously in clinical trials. Development has been discontinued for all known indications.
