**Lacrinorm** is a Farmigea ophthalmic gel containing benzalkonium chloride and polyacrylic acid. It is used for disinfection of the ocular mucosa and as a lubricating, humectant treatment for tear insufficiency and dry eye syndrome. Benzalkonium chloride provides topical antiseptic activity, while the carbomer-based polyacrylic acid gel forms a lubricating, moisture-retaining coating over the ocular surface to relieve dryness and irritation.
