Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Feel Free (also branded as Feelfree) is a non-hormonal vaginal contraceptive gel developed and marketed by Navana Pharmaceuticals in Bangladesh. It is a generic formulation of the vaginal pH regulator Phexxi, which was originally developed by Evofem Biosciences. The gel contains a combination of lactic acid (1.8%), citric acid (1%), and potassium bitartrate (0.4%). It is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in females of reproductive potential as an on-demand, non-hormonal method of contraception. Administered intravaginally using an applicator up to one hour before sexual intercourse, the gel works by maintaining the normal acidic pH of the vagina (between 3.5 and 4.5), which reduces sperm motility and inhibits fertilization.
