Drug intelligence / Profile preview
lacticaseibacillus paracasei ET-22 (formerly known as Lactobacillus paracasei ET-22) is a probiotic strain developed by Bioflag Biotech, a subsidiary of Ausnutria Dairy. It is utilized in both live (ET-22.L) and heat-killed (ET-22.HK, postbiotic) forms. The strain is primarily developed for oral health applications, specifically targeting halitosis (bad breath) and dental caries (cavities) by inhibiting the growth of oral pathogens like Streptococcus mutans and Fusobacterium nucleatum, and reducing the formation of cariogenic biofilms. Additionally, it is investigated for gut health benefits, including the regulation of intestinal microbiota and the alleviation of constipation.
