Lactobacillus acidophilus 74-2 is a specific strain of the species Lactobacillus acidophilus, a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium widely used as a probiotic. This strain has been studied in combination with Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis DGCC 420 for its effects on human health, particularly in modulating immune responses and altering gut microbiota composition[1]. Probiotics like this are primarily indicated for supporting digestive health, preventing or treating antibiotic-associated diarrhea, managing some vaginal infections, and potentially improving certain metabolic parameters[4][6].
