Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lactobacillus casei CCFM1073 is a proprietary probiotic strain of the species Lactobacillus casei (now also classified as Lacticaseibacillus casei). This live biotherapeutic product is primarily developed for its immunomodulatory and anti-allergic properties. Preclinical studies indicate that it can significantly reduce serum HDM-specific IgG1 in mouse models of allergic asthma, downregulate Th2 immune responses, and help restore Th2/Th1 balance[1]. It has been formulated into dietary supplements targeting the prevention or alleviation of respiratory allergies and may have broader applications in modulating immune function[3][5]. The strain is typically administered orally as part of multi-strain probiotic products.
