Overview

Lactobacillus delbrueckii and Lactobacillus fermentum are probiotic bacterial species that have been investigated for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). In a clinical trial conducted by Ain Shams University, these probiotics were evaluated for their ability to improve symptoms in IBS patients, either as a standalone therapy compared to the prokinetic itopride hydrochloride or as an adjunctive treatment.
