Overview

Lactobacillus paracasei ET-66 metabolites, commonly marketed under the brand name ADP-1, are postbiotic preparations derived from the heat-inactivation of the *Lactobacillus paracasei* strain ET-66. Developed by Synbio Tech, these metabolites are primarily utilized as functional ingredients in oral care products such as lozenges, toothpaste, and mouthwashes. The primary therapeutic mechanism is the specific co-aggregation with *Streptococcus mutans*, the major pathogen responsible for dental caries; this physical binding prevents the pathogen from adhering to dental surfaces and facilitates its clearance from the oral cavity. Additionally, ET-66 metabolites interact with host immune receptors, including Toll-like receptors, to modulate inflammatory responses and support mucosal immunity. The product is widely available as a dietary supplement and food ingredient for the prevention of dental caries and the maintenance of oral hygiene.
