Overview
Lactobacillus paracasei NCC2461 + Bifidobacterium longum NCC3001 is a probiotic combination developed by the Nestlé Research Center. This oral biologic therapy consists of two specific live bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus paracasei* NCC2461 (also known as ST11) and *Bifidobacterium longum* NCC3001. The combination is designed to modulate systemic immune mechanisms and interfere with inflammatory reactions to improve skin health. Clinical trials in women with reactive skin have shown that daily oral administration can significantly reduce skin sensitivity and accelerate the recovery of the skin barrier function after environmental stress. The mechanism of action is thought to involve the modulation of circulating immune mediators that subsequently influence skin physiology.
