Overview

Lactobacillus plantarum H6 + Lactobacillus fermentum CQPC04 is a probiotic combination consisting of two specific lactic acid bacteria strains. This combination has been primarily investigated for its potential therapeutic effects on metabolic disorders, including obesity, hyperlipidemia, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Research conducted by institutions such as Chongqing University of Education suggests that these strains work synergistically to modulate the gut microbiota, reduce systemic inflammation, and regulate lipid metabolism. The mechanism of action involves the activation of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha) pathways, which helps to inhibit fat accumulation and improve lipid profiles. Most studies to date have been conducted in animal models, demonstrating significant reductions in body weight, liver fat, and serum cholesterol levels.
