Overview

Lactobacillus plantarum TSP05 is a probiotic bacterial strain isolated from Taiwanese pickled cabbage (kimchi), developed by Glac Biotech Co., Ltd. It is a live biotherapeutic agent investigated for its potential in managing metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), alcoholic steatohepatitis, and liver injury. The strain exhibits high antioxidant capacity, reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. Clinically, it has been shown to lower liver enzymes such as aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and assist in the management of serum uric acid levels. It is often utilized as a component of the PRONULIFE® LvUCare probiotic blend.
