Overview

Lactobacillus rhamnosus MP108 is a proprietary probiotic bacterial strain originally isolated from the feces of healthy infants. It has been developed and commercialized as a probiotic ingredient for use in food supplements, infant nutrition products, and functional foods. The mechanism of action is primarily through modulation of the gut microbiota, enhancement of intestinal barrier function, anti-inflammatory effects, and antioxidant activity. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing symptoms associated with atopic dermatitis and allergic rhinitis in children as well as improving outcomes in hemolytic jaundice models by ameliorating liver function and oxidative stress markers[3][5][6]. Toxicological evaluations indicate that it is safe for human consumption with no evidence of genotoxicity or adverse effects at high doses[1][8]. The strain has received regulatory approvals for use in infant foods in China and Taiwan and holds multiple patents globally[2][9].
