[2] It is being developed by Beijing Ketuo Hengtong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and is under investigation in a clinical trial for its potential therapeutic effect on sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle mass and function. Probiotics like L. rhamnosus are believed to exert their benefits by modulating the gut microbiome. [13, 18] This can influence muscle health by reducing systemic inflammation, improving nutrient absorption, and altering metabolic pathways.
