Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LF01 (also known as Lactobacillus salivarius LF01) is an orally administered live biotherapeutic product (LBP) consisting of a proprietary strain of *Lactobacillus salivarius*. Developed by Guangdong Nanxin Medical Technology, LF01 is designed to activate the host immune system to exert anti-tumor effects. Preclinical studies demonstrate that the LF01 strain can adhere to cell surfaces and promote the differentiation of macrophages into the M1 pro-inflammatory phenotype. This activation triggers the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, anti-tumor cytokines, and chemokines, which recruit and activate other immune cells to mount an anti-tumor immune response. LF01 is currently in Phase I clinical development in China for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors.
