Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PE0301 is a postbiotic formulation developed by Glac Biotech and marketed by Bioflag Biotech, consisting of heat-inactivated cells and fermentation metabolites from three specific probiotic strains: *Lactobacillus salivarius* subsp. *salicinius* AP-32, *Lactobacillus plantarum* LPL28, and *Lactobacillus paracasei* ET-66. Unlike traditional probiotics, this product contains inanimate bacterial components and cell-free supernatants rather than live organisms. It is primarily indicated for oral health, where it functions by inhibiting oral pathogens such as *Streptococcus mutans*, modulating the oral microbiota, and enhancing salivary immunity through the induction of salivary immunoglobulin A (sIgA). The formulation has demonstrated antimicrobial activity and safety in preclinical and clinical evaluations and is typically delivered as oral lozenges or powder.
