Overview

Lactofiltrum is an oral combination product containing hydrolyzed lignin (a natural enterosorbent) and lactulose (a synthetic prebiotic disaccharide). Hydrolyzed lignin binds and removes toxins, pathogenic bacteria, heavy metals, allergens, medications, and metabolic byproducts from the gastrointestinal tract. Lactulose is not absorbed in the upper GI tract; it reaches the colon where it is fermented by beneficial gut bacteria (bifidobacteria and lactobacilli), promoting their growth. This dual action supports detoxification of the gut while restoring healthy intestinal microflora balance. Clinically tested primarily for management of atopic dermatitis/eczema via modulation of the gut-skin axis, as well as for intestinal dysbiosis (including after antibiotics), irritable bowel syndrome, hepatic conditions (hepatitis/cirrhosis), allergic diseases such as urticaria, and bacterial vaginosis[1][2][4][5][7][8].
