LAD191

LAD191 (also known as ALM12845 or ISB 883) is an investigational humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Almirall, S.A. through a licensing agreement with Ichnos Sciences. It is designed to target the Interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAP), a shared coreceptor essential for the signaling of several pro-inflammatory cytokine families, including IL-1, IL-33, and IL-36. By antagonizing IL-1RAP, LAD191 aims to simultaneously inhibit multiple inflammatory pathways involved in the pathogenesis of various autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. As of 2024, the compound is undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity in healthy volunteers and patients with autoimmune conditions, with potential therapeutic applications in dermatology and other immune-mediated disorders.
