Overview

LAE105 is a potentially first-in-class bi-functional antibody-based therapeutic, specifically an NK-aHSC engager, developed by Laekna for the treatment of liver fibrosis. It is designed to selectively deplete activated hepatic stellate cells (aHSCs), which are the primary drivers of collagen deposition and fibrotic progression in the liver. By targeting a specific surface antigen on aHSCs and simultaneously engaging Natural Killer (NK) cells, LAE105 harnesses the innate immune system to clear these pathological cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated significant anti-fibrotic activity, and the candidate is currently in the preclinical stage of development with global commercial rights held by Laekna.
