LAIS Mites Sublingual Tablets

LAIS Mites Sublingual Tablets is a sublingual allergen immunotherapy (SLIT) product developed by Lofarma S.p.A. for the treatment of house dust mite (HDM) induced allergic conditions, including allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and controlled asthma. The active ingredient consists of a 50/50 mixture of monomeric allergoids derived from the mite species *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Dermatophagoides farinae*. These allergoids are produced through a carbamylation process that chemically modifies the allergen's lysine residues, reducing its IgE-binding capacity (and thus the risk of systemic allergic reactions) while preserving the ability to induce T-cell tolerance and the production of protective IgG4 antibodies. The product is formulated as a once-daily sublingual tablet with a maintenance dose of 300IR (Index of Reactivity).
