Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Laklin is a probiotic dietary supplement developed by Omnifarma Kiev, specifically formulated to support and restore the urogenital and intestinal microflora in women. It contains a concentrated blend of two clinically studied probiotic strains: *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* GR-1 and *Lactobacillus reuteri* RC-14. These microorganisms are capable of surviving gastrointestinal transit and colonizing the vaginal mucosa. Once established, they produce lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and bacteriocins, which lower the local pH and create an environment hostile to pathogenic bacteria and yeast, such as *Gardnerella vaginalis* and *Candida albicans*. Laklin is primarily indicated for the prevention and adjunctive treatment of bacterial vaginosis and vaginal candidiasis, as well as for maintaining overall urogenital health and microbial balance.
