Overview

LAM182 is a synthetic fatty acid derivative developed by Laminar Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of various oncology indications. It is a key asset in the company's Membrane Lipid Therapy (MLT) platform, also known as Melitherapy. LAM182 is designed to integrate into the cell membrane and alter its biophysical properties, such as fluidity and lipid domain organization. This structural modification affects the recruitment and activation of peripheral membrane proteins involved in oncogenic signaling, including Ras, G proteins, and protein kinase C (PKC). By correcting the aberrant membrane composition characteristic of cancer cells, LAM182 modulates downstream signaling to inhibit cell growth and promote programmed cell death. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for oncology.
