LambdaGen iPSC-derived NK cells are an allogeneic, 'off-the-shelf' cell therapy being developed by LambdaGen Therapeutics for the treatment of various cancers, including B-cell lymphoma. The therapy is produced by differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into functional natural killer (NK) cells. These cells are engineered using LambdaGen's proprietary LIGIT (Lambda Integrase Genome Insertion Tool) platform, which utilizes an enhanced lambda integrase to achieve site-specific integration of multi-gene cassettes, such as chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), into genomic safe harbors. This precise engineering is intended to enhance tumor specificity, ensure sustained proliferative signaling, and prevent tumor immune escape. The program is currently in preclinical development and involves a collaboration with Plasticell Ltd to optimize differentiation protocols using combinatorial screening technology.
