LambdaMab is a monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of plasma cell disorders such as multiple myeloma and immunoglobulin light-chain (AL) amyloidosis. It specifically targets the lambda myeloma antigen (LMA), which is expressed on malignant plasma cells in patients with lambda-type multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis but not on normal B cells or most other immune cells. By binding to LMA, LambdaMab flags cancerous plasma cells for destruction by natural killer (NK) cells through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. This selectivity aims to minimize off-target effects and preserve normal immune function. The drug is being developed by Immune System Therapeutics Ltd., with HaemaLogiX also involved in its development pipeline[1][4]. As of June 2025, it remains in preclinical development.
