Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LAN-3 is a recombinant mouse leptin receptor antagonist containing the L39A/D40A/F41A mutations. Developed by Protein Laboratories Rehovot, it is a 16 kDa polypeptide chain consisting of 146 amino acids with an additional alanine at the N-terminus. LAN-3 acts as a highly specific and competitive antagonist of the leptin receptor, blocking leptin-induced signaling. It is widely used as a laboratory research tool to investigate the physiological roles of leptin in energy homeostasis, glucose metabolism, and cardiovascular regulation in rodent models.
