Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lanconone (E-OA-07) is a standardized botanical dietary supplement developed by Enovate Biolife for the management of chronic joint pain and osteoarthritis. The formulation is a unique combination of extracts from seven Ayurvedic herbs: *Commiphora mukul*, *Boswellia serrata*, *Withania somnifera*, *Oroxylum indicum*, *Smilax china*, *Pluchea lanceolata*, and *Zingiber officinale*. It acts as a multi-target anti-inflammatory agent, inhibiting key mediators of joint degradation and pain, including cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1beta). Clinical studies have demonstrated that Lanconone significantly reduces pain and stiffness while improving physical function in patients with knee osteoarthritis, often showing a rapid onset of action and a favorable safety profile compared to conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
