Lang Qingata

Lang Qingata (LQAtta) is a traditional Tibetan herbal medicine formulation being investigated for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). It is a complex botanical product composed of 15 ingredients, including artificial bezoar, safflower, and astragalus. The drug's mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-B) signaling pathway, specifically by reducing the expression and phosphorylation of NF-κB proteins, which helps prevent inflammation and fibrosis in the liver. Preclinical studies in high-fat/high-cholesterol mouse models have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing NASH progression. It is currently being evaluated in multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials led by researcher Shupei Li.
