Overview
Langchuangjing granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis. It is used as an adjunct to standard Western therapies such as prednisone acetate and hydroxychloroquine. Mechanistically, Langchuangjing exerts immunomodulatory effects by restraining excessive apoptosis of T and B lymphocytes, suppressing autoimmune activity, reducing immune complex deposition, inhibiting inflammatory mediators like ICAM-1, and protecting kidney cells. Preclinical studies suggest it can modulate immune cell function and improve clinical outcomes in SLE patients when combined with conventional treatments[3][5][8].
