Overview

Lanraplenib is an orally available, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of spleen tyrosine kinase (SYK), developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. By inhibiting SYK, a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase involved in B-cell receptor signaling, lanraplenib suppresses B-cell activation and function, leading to immunomodulatory and antineoplastic effects. It has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models by reducing B cell survival, maturation, and immunoglobulin production as well as improving disease outcomes in lupus nephritis models. Lanraplenib is under clinical investigation for several autoimmune conditions including lupus nephritis, cutaneous lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjogren's syndrome[1][2][4][5][6][7].
