lansoprazole + clarithromycin + metronidazole

This drug is a combination therapy consisting of lansoprazole, clarithromycin, and metronidazole. It is used as a triple therapy regimen for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, particularly in patients with gastritis or duodenal ulcer. Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. Clarithromycin and metronidazole are antibiotics; clarithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, while metronidazole disrupts DNA synthesis in susceptible bacteria and protozoa. This combination is especially useful in areas with high rates of metronidazole resistance and has demonstrated high eradication rates for H. pylori[4][6].
