Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Laperosudil (LH025) is an orally administered small molecule Rho-kinase (ROCK) inhibitor developed by Shenzhen Jianyuan Pharmaceutical Technology. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis. By inhibiting ROCK1 and ROCK2, laperosudil aims to modulate the inflammatory response, specifically by influencing the balance between pro-inflammatory Th17 cells and anti-inflammatory Treg cells, and by reducing the production of cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-17. The drug is formulated as laperosudil acetate and has been evaluated in Phase I clinical trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in adult patients.
