Overview

Lappa Arctium is a homeopathic medicine derived from the *Arctium lappa* (burdock) plant, currently being investigated for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Developed and studied by Dr. Anjali Miglani in collaboration with the Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homeopathy and the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy in India, this preparation is typically administered orally in various homeopathic potencies (ranging from 6c to 1M). The medicine is noted for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, which are thought to contribute to its efficacy in reducing inflammatory acne lesions and improving Global Acne Grading System (GAGS) scores. A Phase 1 observational study demonstrated its potential to improve the quality of life for adolescents and young adults suffering from acne.
