Overview

LASEPR siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the lung cancer-associated serum protein 1 receptor (LASEPR). LASEPR is a cell-surface receptor that interacts with its ligand, LASEP1 (lung cancer-associated serum protein 1), a secreted protein frequently overexpressed in various histological types of lung cancer, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The interaction between LASEP1 and LASEPR promotes cancer cell growth and mobility through autocrine and paracrine signaling pathways. Research has demonstrated that the suppression of LASEPR expression via siRNA leads to the inhibition of lung cancer cell growth in vitro. This identifies the LASEP1-LASEPR signaling axis as a potential therapeutic target for the development of novel molecular therapies for lung malignancies.
