Laserskin is an autologous epidermal replacement (AER) developed by Fidia Advanced Biopolymers. It consists of a transparent, biodegradable, microperforated membrane scaffold made from HYAFF (a benzyl ester derivative of hyaluronic acid) seeded with preconfluent autologous keratinocytes isolated from a patient biopsy. Laserskin functions as a tissue-engineered skin graft (a biologic/cell-based therapy) and serves as the epidermal layer in the TissueTech Autograft System (TTAS), typically applied after the dermal substitute Hyalograft 3D. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and other chronic wounds.
