A Lassa fever DNA vaccine is a prophylactic immunization strategy that utilizes DNA plasmid technology to induce protective immune responses against the Lassa virus (LASV). These vaccines typically consist of engineered plasmids encoding specific viral antigens, most commonly the Lassa virus glycoprotein precursor (GPC) and occasionally the nucleoprotein (NP).
