LAU-LY-05

LAU-LY-05 is an investigational anti-infective drug candidate being developed by Vectans Pharma for the treatment of Lyme Borreliosis (Lyme disease). The drug utilizes Vectans' proprietary Lauriad technology, which is a muco-adhesive buccal delivery system designed to adhere to the oral mucosa. This technology allows for the sustained and controlled release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), potentially improving bioavailability and patient compliance compared to traditional oral antibiotic regimens. LAU-LY-05 is intended to target *Borrelia burgdorferi*, the causative agent of Lyme disease, aiming to provide an effective therapeutic or prophylactic option following tick exposure. It is currently in early-stage clinical development.
