Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LAU_GvHD-06 is a clinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Vectans Pharma for the treatment of Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD), specifically targeting oral manifestations. The drug utilizes the proprietary Lauriad muco-adhesive buccal tablet technology, which is designed to adhere to the oral mucosa and provide sustained, localized release of the active ingredient directly at the site of oral lesions. This delivery method aims to achieve high local concentrations of the therapeutic agent to effectively treat oral GvHD while minimizing systemic absorption and the associated side effects typically observed with systemic immunosuppressants or corticosteroids. As of 2021, the program was in Phase 1 clinical development.
