Overview

LAU_PVRI-03 is an investigational muco-adhesive buccal tablet developed by Vectans Pharma for the prevention of viral respiratory infections. The product utilizes the proprietary Lauriad delivery technology, which allows a tablet to adhere to the upper gum and provide sustained release of the active ingredient directly into the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. This localized delivery is intended to intercept respiratory viruses at their primary site of entry and replication in the upper respiratory tract. As of late 2021, the program was in Phase 1 clinical development to evaluate safety and mucosal distribution.
