Laurencia tronoi extract is a botanical extract derived from the red macroalga *Laurencia tronoi*, specifically collected from the coastal waters of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is being investigated as a potential antineoplastic and chemopreventive agent for the treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV)-related cervical cancer. In preclinical in vitro studies, the ethanol extract of *L. tronoi* demonstrated significant cytotoxic activity against human cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa) cells, with an IC50 value of approximately 78.53 μg/g.
